Hunter Engineering Joins Growing List of ITTIA Customers

May 21, 2002 — Bellevue, WA — Hunter Engineering, a world leader in automotive service equipment, has chosen ITTIA's RDMi™ data access technology in order to provide a higher level of service. In doing so, it joins a succession of firms in finance, communications and other fields that are using ITTIA's ODBC driver to gain more value from their information systems.

Hunter Engineering develops automobile diagnostic software that uses RDM. Some Hunter customers, including major car manufacturers, request customized information from this application. RDMi™'s driver makes such analysis possible.

ITTIA's RDMi™ adds ODBC connectivity to the RDM database. Using ITTIA's technology, Hunter Engineering's developers can write queries to the database using the flexible, industry-standard SQL language, enabling them to satisfy customer requests quickly and easily.

ITTIA's RDMi™ ODBC driver was launched in the expectation that leading technology firms need ODBC access to proprietary database formats. This prediction has proven itself repeatedly, with customers integrating the RDMi™ driver into software products used by thousands of people.

RDMi™ adopters over the past year include:

SNL Securities, a leading research and information provider for the banking, insurance, real estate, specialized financial services and energy sectors, which chose RDMi™ to enhance the connectivity options in its DataSource Products line.

ITTIA's access technology "will save time and labor for SNL's customers engaging in sophisticated, custom analysis," said Steve Ferguson, SNL Securities' DataSource Products director. Ferguson also praised ITTIA's service and the quality of its ongoing support.

Moody's Risk Management Services, a trusted provider of credit risk analysis and management tools and services. RDMi™ "worked perfectly" and installed easily, according to Thom King, director of data management at Moody's. RDMi™ "snaps into native ODBC capabilities that are in Windows, so there's no coding to do," King noted. With RDMi™, Moody's analysts can transparently access key financial information stored in the RDM database, using SQL- and ODBC-compatible third party tools.

"As we welcome Hunter Engineering to the RDMi community, ITTIA would like to restate our commitment to providing highly cost-effective solutions for data access and management. We also want to thank our customers, whose projects and real-time feedback have improved ITTIA's technology and helped shape us as an organization," said Sasan Montaseri, ITTIA's CEO.
