ITTIA unveils ODBC data access technology for Wonderware InBatch

January 10, 2003 — Bellevue, WA — Users of Wonderware InBatch, the leading batch management software, can now experience greater levels of flexibility with their application. The embedded data that was inaccessible, can now be leveraged to support business decisions affecting batch process management and resource utilization.

ITTIA has worked diligently to customize ITTIA ODBC, its Open DataBase Connectivity (ODBC) data management technology, for InBatch. The embedded data within InBatch is now available to be accessed and distributed when and where it is needed. By adding ITTIA ODBC technology, InBatch users can access their hidden data via the industry standard ODBC protocol. The result is data can be distributed to other ODBC compliant applications (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Access, Crystal Reports and others) to enhance the overall business intelligence "took-kit" of production managers and InBatch-users.

Industries across the globe count on InBatch for the creation and management of their batch recipe processes for chemicals, pharmaceuticals, foods and many other major sectors. Today industrial facilities are increasing in complexity as they evolve into information intensive enterprises. ITTIA ODBC is emerging as a technology offering that these data intensive operations cannot be without.

A Senior Application Engineer at a major Wonderware distributor stated, "I've tested ITTIA ODBC and it's wonderful! I can access data in all the necessary databases of InBatch." Access to the data and the ability to seamlessly export data to other ODBC compliant applications is now a reality. Additional benefits included the ability to populate list boxes and link to InTouch – Wonderware’s premier HMI application (Human-Machine Interface).
