JCPenny signs up as ITTIA's customer

May 10, 2004 — Bellevue, WA — JCPenny has been an American institution for over 100 years. In this time, their reputation for quality, service and price has helped them grow from a single store in Kemmerer, Wyoming to over 1,000 stores nationwide.

JCPenny expects the same quality and service from the companies and technologies they select. When JCPenny needed database tools to utilize critical meeting data from a calendar program (Steltor) to use and synchronize data with other applications, JCPenny carefully weighed many options.

First, they tried using utilities provided with Steltor for the data access, but this solution was not sufficient for their needs. Next, they tried various SDKs from other database software companies, but found it could only partially access the data.

JCPenny was reluctant to purchase software that does not fully perform. The company's high standards lead them to turn to ITTIA.

ITTIA ODBC software allowed a transparent connection between Steltor and JCPenny's preferred solution, VB.NET. ITTIA ODBC also allowed them to use any ODBC-compliant program, including MSQuery, Access and Excel. (They could have also used non-Microsoft products.) ITTIA delivered the high-quality solution JCPenny was looking for, at a very reasonable price.

"We were very happy to provide a solution to a company as well-known as JCPenny," said Sasan Montaseri, president of ITTIA. "Companies today run on information, and ITTIA is always pleased to help them access that information in the most useful ways. We look forward to helping more companies get the most from their data."
