ITTIA launches db.*, a free, open source embedded database

August 10, 2004 — Bellevue, WA — Today, ITTIA launched db.*, an open source, powerful, small footprint embedded database for open-source platforms, and made it available on the ITTIA web site.

db.* is the open source version of a database engine that has been developed and tested for more than 20 years, and been used successfully in tens of thousands of applications. ITTIA is making it available to the public in order to promote its tech support and consulting business, and to promote Club ITTIA, its embedded database community.

A Pacific Rim company discovers ITTIA software, empowering its customers

July 16, 2004 — Bellevue, WA — A customer of McPond eCommerce Software had a problem. Their small business accounting software, ASB Bank Gateway, had melted down, and the New Zealand Inland Revenue Service (tax department) was knocking on their door.

The customer had backups, but they were incomplete. Unfortunately, the banking software was covered in security mechanisms, and the customer had lost his password. The helpdesk for the banking software was understandably reluctant to give out any information. This put the customer in a very difficult situation!

Telecommunications specialist raves about ITTIA software
